Always something I want!

Hi guys - well I guess I must first apologise for being completely useless at updating my blog (blush). This is all new to me, but I promise to be a bit better at updating from now on.
Well at the weekend - we were away & we popped into a place called The Plassey near to Wrexham, Wales. It's a nice place to wander round. Lots of little shops / studios & a great cafe.
We popped into the craft barn. Wow what a place! Lots of crafty inspiration in there.
I had a demo of a Cricut machine. It's an electronic die cutting machine & rather swish. I was amazed & at that moment, I immediately thought..I want one. However, upon coming home & doing some research I have decided that it is not a cricut I want, but a Craft Robo. I simply just have to have one & like a spoilt brat..I want one now! :-)
So on ebay shortly is going to be my brother embroidery machine, that has become a monument...which will soon be replaced by my fabulous Craft Robo ( dream dream, dream).

The knitting club is still going good - I got bored with knnitting my dull cardi & have now taken to knitting a hot pink funky wool shrug, with lots of sparkly bits in. I've also had an order to crochet a baby blanket for my nephew. He likes to poke his fingers through holey blankets. He's a little cutie at 7 months old.

Well I'm just off to craft club. It's decoupage cards tonight. I'll let you know how I get on & upload some pics tomorrow. Until then...Toorah for now. xxx

Welcome!

Welcome to my fist ever blog posting! Exciting isn't it?

Well apart from it being literally freezing I've recently joined a local knitting group, which meets once a week.

It's a wonder any knitting gets done with all the chin wagging that goes on. But hey ho, I've managed to finish 2 projects so far. Both are scarves to keep me nice & cosy in this wicked weather.

The first is knit with Rico pompom wool. It was a pig to work out how to knit with, but eventually I cracked it. You just pinch the pom poms out of the way & knit 2 stitches between each one. Hey presto!

The second scarf (now finished) was knit with Katia mystery wool & formed a loopy ladder scarf. I'm really pleased with the result.
The chickens have been quite miserable today with the rainy cold weather. It didn't stop them being naughty & ripping up newspaper though.
My little cat ' Poppy' has had her collar off today from her 'ladies operation' & is curled up fast asleep. I might just be able to get my knitting out soon whilst she sleeps (fingers crossed).
Next project is my little knitted rabbit & I've also got a hat I want to try on circular needles (yikes)!
Wish me luck & happy crafting!
